Engineer Sherif El -Sherbiny received, Minister of Housing Urban facilities and communities, the officials of the global company “Guardian Glass” specializing in the glass industry used in the facades of buildings and residential and commercial towers, producing an environmentally friendly glass that contributes to reducing energy consumption in buildings, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation, in the presence of officials of the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority, and the National Center for Housing and Building Research.
At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny welcomed the company’s officials, confirming the interest and endeavors of the Ministry of Housing towards settling the components of the projects that the ministry implements through its affiliated bodies, within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi, to localize the industry for the components of the project and reduce the import bill, along with the launch of the green construction strategy during the 12th session of the Urban Forum, the world Wuf12, which includes the construction code with friendly specifications The environment, in line with Egypt’s vision for sustainable development.
Improving the quality of life in new urban communities
The Minister also stressed the importance of joint cooperation with the leading international companies in the field of modern construction technologies, noting that the ministry seeks to adopt the best sustainable solutions that contribute to improving the quality of life in new urban communities.
During the meeting, the opportunities for joint cooperation in the implementation of the projects that the ministry are working on implementing were discussed within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to improve the quality of urban infrastructure, where the officials of “Guardian Glass” reviewed an aspect of the company’s products, including (Coated Glass), a type of glass that has been treated to improve its properties, to insulate heat, along with a review of the company’s capabilities to produce energy -saving glass, It is used in modern buildings, glass facades, and green buildings to provide energy, as well as a review of a number of projects in the world to which companies have supplied their products.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Housing, in coordination with the company, directed to work to provide needs from the glass for the Ministry’s projects in new cities, through the company’s factory in the tenth of Ramadan City, and held continuous meetings to continue cooperation during the coming period.
