The Minister of Health is discussing with the UAE Holding Company, the establishment of the remedy centers for the treatment of marrow in Egypt

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received, on Monday, Dr. Shamshir Fayalil, the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Barjeel Holding Company, one of the largest companies operating in the specialized health care sector in the Middle East and North Africa region, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital, to discuss ways of cooperation and investment opportunities in the Egyptian health sector.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the visiting delegation, praising the role of the pioneer company in providing advanced medical care, and stressing the Egyptian state’s commitment to providing an environment that stimulates investment, especially in vital fields, especially the health sector, in a way that serves the state’s priorities in developing health services and enhancing international partnerships.

Discussions

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population explained that the meeting dealt with strategic axes of joint cooperation, which included training medical teams, exchange of scientific and practical experiences, and organizing specialized scientific conferences, as well as cooperation in continuous professional development programs within hospitals.

He pointed out that the meeting touched on the prospects for cooperation in the field of resettlement of medical industries, especially pharmaceutical products and vaccines, the development of clinical research, and the manufacture of medical devices and supplies.

He pointed out that the two sides discussed the mechanisms of cooperation in the treatment of tumors, especially the cultivation of marrow, as the Bergean company owns specialized institutes in the Emirates in this field, with the discussion of the establishment of similar centers in Egypt, especially in the governorates of Upper Egypt, in implementation of the directives of the minister to support the areas most in need of specific health services.

The meeting also included discussing cooperation in the field of sports medicine and post -injuries, in light of the expansion in this field at the state level, and the development of accompanying sports and medical infrastructure.

Dr. Shamsheer Faylail pointed out that the goals are closely consistent with the priorities of national health care in Egypt, especially its vision to become a regional center for excellence in oncology and bone marrow transplantation, by integrating the experiences of Burjir Clinical, research and training in the local system, where we aim to raise the standards of care and enhance local capabilities in advanced diagnosis and molecular medicine, believing from the Burjeel group that international cooperation between health care systems Vital to our broader mission of adding a democratic character to the complex care.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Health and Population had previously signed a cooperation agreement with “Burjeel Holding” to support oncology patients in Egypt, as part of a partnership aimed at providing effective and advanced treatment solutions, in line with international medical standards, and supports the national health care system.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Peter Wajih, Assistant Minister for therapeutic Medicine Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel -Fattah, Head of the Medical Professions Development Sector, Dr. Maha Ibrahim, Head of the Specialized Medical Centers Secretariat, Dr. Mohamed Fawzi, Minister of Radiology, and Dr. Hatem Amer, Minister of the Minister for International Relations.

The “Burjeel Holding” company also participated by Mr. Hamad Al -Hosani, CEO of Partnerships, Dr. Zine El Abidine, a consultant of hematology and oncology for children at the Burjeel Oncology Institute, Professor Fayez Brami, Director of Relations, and Professor Mohamed Sarfrouz, Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with a number of company leaders.
