The Minister of Communications hold meetings with Italian companies and institutions to attract investments

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, met with Enricko Panasco, President of the General Federation of Italian Industry, Confirmustria for the Africa and South Mediterranean region, and the CEO of Sparkle in the Italian capital, Rome, in the presence of Ambassador Bassam Radi, the Egyptian ambassador to Italy, where the meeting discussed ways to build partnerships between Egyptian companies, and Italian specialized in communications fields And information technology.

During the meeting, the most prominent thing that was accomplished in light of the existing cooperation between Telecom Egypt and Sparkle Telecom Company was reviewed in the field of international infrastructure enhancement, as well as opportunities to cooperate in the field of digital capacity building through a partnership between the academies affiliated with the Italian company Sparkle and the We’s Applied Technology Schools.

Dr. Amr Talaat explained the efforts made in implementing Egypt’s digital strategy to develop the outsourcing industry, and the competitive incentives and benefits that aim to consolidate Egypt’s position as a global center to provide outsourcing services; Noting the Ministry’s keenness to provide specialized training programs to qualify young people to work in the field of outsourcing.

Enricko Panasco pointed out that this meeting represents a first step towards introducing member companies in the General Federation of Italian Industry to the competitive advantages that Egypt enjoys in the outskirts sector, stressing the importance of organizing an expanded meeting that includes representatives of these companies to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in this promising sector in the Egyptian market.
It is worth noting that the General Federation of Italian Industry “Convendostia” is the leading organization that represents industry and services companies in Italy, and the Federation includes more than 170,000 member companies, combining more than 5.3 million employees. It works to network between Italian companies and the international business community.

In the context of the efforts made to develop the outsourcing industry in Egypt and stimulate foreign investments in this promising sector, Dr. Amr Talaat held a meeting with Alfonso Siano, head of international relations at the “Intepaolo”, which is the largest banking group in Italy; And in the presence of the Egyptian ambassador to Italy.

The meeting discussed the possibility of expanding the bank’s activities in the Egyptian market, and exploring cooperation opportunities in the areas of support for innovation and developing advanced digital solutions in financial technology applications.

The meeting also witnessed a review of the ingredients that Egypt enjoys in the field of outsourcing, which includes the distinguished geographical location, and the availability of digital competencies capable of providing advanced services in multiple languages, and advanced digital infrastructure, where it was emphasized that the outsourcing sector in Egypt is experiencing continuous growth, and is characterized by the diversity of business outsourcing models and commercial operations to serve the customers of companies and institutions in various sectors, including banks.

It is noteworthy that “Intisa San Paolo” is spreading its branches working in the field of commercial banking services in 12 countries in the central and eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, in addition to an international network of specialists to support customers from companies across 25 countries.

Dr. Amr Talaat also held a meeting with Gianfranco Brevitira, President of Almaviva, operating in the field of outsourcing and providing consulting and information technology services, and Amr Sayed, director of business development in the company in the Middle East and North Africa region; In the presence of the Egyptian ambassador to Italy. Where during the meeting, the opportunities for joint cooperation were discussed, and the company’s plans to expand in the Egyptian market in light of work to expand the African continent.

The company reviewed its plans to expand the size of its business in the Egyptian market and increase its employees in its center in Egypt to benefit from the competitive advantages that Egypt enjoys in the outsourcing industry, especially the efficiency of Egyptian youth in the field of outsourcing.

It should be noted that Almaviva is one of the largest technological companies in Italian and has more than 80 headquarters around the world with more than 40,000 employees.
