Yesterday morning, the joint meeting between the Executive Committee of the Bahrain Volleyball Federation and the resorting committee approved in the Asian Nations Cup for men’s teams in its fifth edition, which starts tomorrow, Tuesday and will continue until June 24.
The meeting started with a speech delivered by the Vice -President of the Executive Committee of the Championship, Habib Mohamed, in which he welcomed the Chairman of the Committee for the Invention Committee, Mohamed Latif and members of the committee, conveying to them the greetings of His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Volleyball Federation and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Championship, and wishing them a good residence in their second country, the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Habib Mohamed stressed during his speech the Kingdom’s full readiness to host the Asian event, expressing his pride in hosting Bahrain for this tournament for the second year in a row, praising the AFC’s confidence in the Kingdom’s ability to organize continental championships at the highest levels of success and excellence, appreciating the continuous support from the continental union.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Committee, a number of heads of the working committees, namely: Abdul Reda Ashouri, Chairman of the Housing Committee, Sadiq Al -Zimour, Chairman of the Reception and Public Relations Committee, Hassan Al -Farsani, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Ali Makki Al -Sheikh, Chairman of the Stadium Committee, Rashid Jaber, Chairman of the local jury, Ali Al -Sayed, Chairman of the Statistics Committee and Director of the National Team.
The Vice -President of the Executive Committee emphasized that the Bahrain Volleyball Federation has become one of the leading bodies at the continent level in organizing international championships, thanks to its cumulative experiences and professional work committees, stressing the importance of appearing in the championship in the best image worthy of the Kingdom’s reputation and sporting position.
Habib Mohamed also extended his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Invention Committee, Mohamed Latif, praising the close cooperation between the two parties in order to develop the game and upgrade it, wishing all the participating teams success and competition with a high sporting spirit.
For his part, the Chairman of the Committee for the Committee, Mohamed Latif, delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the warm reception and quality of the organization, stressing that Bahrain is not strange to him, as it is always a partner in success thanks to its high efficiency and its keenness to provide all the requirements of success for the Asian championships.
He also expressed his full confidence in the ability of the Bahraini Federation headed by His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Muhammad Al Khalifa to organize an exceptional copy of the tournament, worthy of the Kingdom’s leading reputation in hosting sports events.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of a group of important organizational aspects, most notably the latest improvements to the Issa bin Rashid hall for matches, and to ensure the readiness of the training halls, in addition to the media arrangements for the media center and the locations of the photographers during the course of the tournament.
