Today, Friday, the Israeli Public Prosecution refused, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to postpone his trial on corruption charges for two weeks, despite his justification that he needs to devote his time to other issues after the recent Israeli aggression against Iran, including the file of returning Israeli prisoners from the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu had submitted a request to the Central Court to postpone the sessions, but the Public Prosecution considered that the generally detailed reasons in the request did not justify the cancellation of two weeks of sessions, according to the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.
The trial sessions are scheduled to be resumed next Monday, after a temporary stop during the Israeli military campaign against Iran, which started on June 13 and lasted 12 days.

Netanyahu has been tried for several months, as it appears before the court twice a week in corruption cases known in the media with files of 1000, 2000 and 4000, and the charges include bribery, fraud and honesty, which may lead to imprisonment if convicted.
In the file 1000, Netanyahu is accused of receiving valuable gifts from businessmen in exchange for providing facilities, while the file includes 2000 negotiations with the publisher of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper to obtain positive media coverage, while the 4000 file, which is the most dangerous, relates to granting facilities to Bezak Communications Company, in exchange for a supportive media coverage at the Walla News site.
