The Israeli army said that its forces operating near the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, found, yesterday, the bodies of a number of “Hamas” members who were killed by an Israeli raid on May 13.

The army believes, according to the “Times of Israel” website, that one of the bodies may belong to the leader of “Hamas”, Muhammad al -Sinwar, who was killed in the raid.

The Israeli army confirmed that its forces are operating inside the Hamas tunnels in the European Hospital area in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, where Muhammad al -Sinwar was targeted.

The army explained: «During the operations, the Israeli army forces reached an underground path targeting 3 weeks ago, as Muhammad Al -Sinwar and others resided there. In the area, bodies were found for people who have not yet been identified. ”

The Israeli army indicated that it was also found “evidence to prove the malicious use of Hamas for the hospital, covering its operations.”

The Israeli army published scenes of what it described as “an infrastructure located below the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, which includes a command and control center through which senior leaders in (Hamas) managed combat operations.”

“In a special and focused operation led by the 36th Intelligence Authority, the army and the Shabak forces found the infrastructure, where many documents were found, including command and control rooms, combat means, and additional intelligence documents.”

“During the combing work, several bodies were also found, and their identities are examined.”

The Israeli army denied last week that its forces were operating “inside the European Hospital complex.” He announced that he killed Muhammad al -Sinwar, the commander of the “Al -Qassam Brigades”, the military wing of the Palestinian “Hamas” movement, in a raid on Khan Yunis on May 13, during a joint operation of the army with the Public Security Service (the Shin Bet).

Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adraei, said in a statement via the X platform, that Israeli planes launched raids on Khan Yunis, killing the Sinwar.

He added that the raids also killed Mohamed Shabana, commander of the “Rafah Brigade” in the “Hamas” movement, and Mahdi Kawar, commander of the “South Khan Yunis battalion” while they were in a underground leadership and control complex, located under the European Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army deployed scenes from the raid that targeted the infrastructure, which was under the European Hospital, during which the Sinwar was eliminated.

The army explained that “the targeted tunnel was multi -dimensional, and it was able to target it using advanced technologies.”

The attack was simultaneously by the Air Force fighters with special bombs, hitting the underground complex. He pointed out that “the work of the hospital itself was not affected by the raid,” according to the statement.

The army said that “Israeli Air Force fighter planes shot down more than 50 shells within 30 seconds,” during the raid that killed Muhammad Al -Sinwar.
