The International Association for Gifted and Excellent Children Gives Academy at the Arab Gulf University the “Promising World” award

The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences at the Arab Gulf University, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al -Abbasi, won the Emering Scholar Award from the World Association for Gifted and Explified by Countil for Gifted and Talented Children, a award that is awarded to young scientists who have received a doctorate degree in less than 10 years in talent and creativity.

This award comes in honor of Dr. Al -Abbasi’s efforts in the field of talent and creativity globally, as it has published more than 60 papers and chapters in international books edited in the past few years. According to the global research platform, which includes nearly two million researchers and world from different countries of the world, Dr. Al -Abbasi is one of the highest 96% of researchers around the world in the field of talent and creativity, as it is the only Arab world that contributed to writing the Encyclopedia of Creativity in its third edition issued by the Elsevier Publishing House.

This, and his research diversified in the topics of talent, creativity, innovation, emotional intelligence and women’s issues, at a time when the Arab Gulf University is firmly committed to supporting scientific research, researchers and scientists, and works continuously to enhance the status of scientific research as one of the basic pillars on which its academic and development strategy is based. The university also puts in the core of its priorities the support of scientists and researchers, and providing the appropriate environment to encourage innovation and scientific creativity in various disciplines, in addition to providing the necessary funding for research projects of development priority in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to encouraging regional and international research cooperation.

The Arab Gulf University was able to be the first university in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and within the highest 500 universities around the world in the latest classification of the Times High education Foundation, as scientific research contributes to 60% of universities classification according to Times High Education, by 30% for scientific research and 30% for the encouraging research environment. According to the Scopus database, faculty members at the university contributed 2,957 papers covering the seventeen sustainable development goals.

Dr. Al -Abbasi said in a comment after obtaining the award: “I dedicate this humble achievement of my country in Bahrain, which provided and still provides all support for young energies, as this achievement was dedicated to everyone’s father, Mr. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, who always emphasizes the importance of investing in promising young energies and supporting them through the distinguished government initiatives headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Deputy Supreme Commander Prime Minister.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Al -Abbasi holds a PhD from Georgia University in the United States of America in the specialty of educating talented and creative, and also holds two executive certificates in leadership and innovation from the Kennedy Faculties and Business Administration at Harvard University.

The World Assembly of Gifted and Excellent Children is the most prestigious international institution in the field of talent and creativity, based in the United States of America. In appreciation of its scientific efforts, the World Assembly of Talented and Excellent Children decided to give this award for the first time to a researcher from outside the United States of America.
