The president of the sports club, Mirza Ahmed, confirmed that the club is studying the possibility of the club’s first football team participating in the new season 2025/2026 without professional players, adding that the club does not have a budget to support the ranks of the first football team with professional players, noting that the club is looking for new investment opportunities that contribute to a balance that serves the club’s budget.
This came, in the statement singled out for “Al -Watan Sports”, where he said: “The club is seriously studying the participation of the first football team without professionals in the new sports season competitions. As the number of professionals in the next football season raises to 6 professionals, the club does not have the budget to contract with professionals, and this may push the team to run the next season with local players, especially from the club’s sons.”
He continued, “The club’s first football team won the fifth place in the final arrangement in the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League competition, is an important positive result and moral motivation for the new season. Perhaps one of the most important reasons that led to this is the great effort made by the technical and administrative bodies as well as the players, in order to achieve this result, which is one of the most prominent results achieved by the team at the level of its participation in this competition.”
He added: “And do not forget to refer in this regard to the support of the club that the club received by the Tamouh Sports Company headed by Mohamed Abdel -Latif Jalal, and directed to the club’s first football team, which contributed to strengthening the team with professional players with 3 players that the company sponsored in addition to the financial support that the club gets, which was one of the important factors in what was achieved in the past season.”
Ahmed expressed his hope that this support will continue by the company in the next season because of its great positive role in maintaining the team’s balance and enabling it to play with professionals next season, similar to the rest of the teams in the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League, which is reflected in the strength of the league and spreading competition in it in a way that enhances the development of Bahraini football.
Regarding the administration’s tendency to contract with a new coach to lead the first football team, he said: “The club’s administration is thanks and appreciated the national coach Ali Abdel -Majid, for what he presented for the past two seasons with the team. The administration has put a project for the first team, and it was seeking to keep the coach Ali Abdel Majeed at the head of the technical staff for a longer period within this project. The Olympic team, where the club did not hesitate to stand and support the coach to accept this task, which we wish and through which we wish all the best for him and the team in achieving the best results for the Bahraini football.
He added: “The administration searches through the biography on its table, choosing the coach, which is commensurate with the capabilities and capabilities of the financial management, which is also commensurate with the goals set by the administration for the new football season,” noting that the administration will settle the coach’s file during the next few period.
As for the club’s investment projects, he replied, “The administration is looking for new investment opportunities to diversify the club’s income in a way that balances the club’s financial budget. The club has spaces through which he seeks to attract new investment projects that serve the club and raise its general budget.”
The head of the youth club concluded his statement, saying: “The club’s board of directors always seeks to develop plans and programs that aim to raise the level of sports teams, and push them to achieve the best results in all sports.
