Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call today from Abdullah bin Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait, President of the current session of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
During the contact, the path of the strong brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples was discussed, and ways to enhance aspects of cooperation and coordination in various fields in the service of common interests.
The developments of the situation in the region were also discussed in light of the military escalation between Israel and Iran and its repercussions on the security and stability of the region, as the importance of the Gulf position unity was emphasized, efforts to reduce tension and stop the escalation, and the need to continue the US -Iranian negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file in order to preserve security and regional stability.
