Within the framework of the strategy of the General Administration of Civil Defense to enhance the community partnership and consolidate the culture of volunteerism, the administration organized a training program for volunteers from various specializations related to civil defense work in cooperation with the crisis and disaster management, the civil defense school, and the “Life” Center for Training and Development, with the aim of raising their efficiency in dealing with emergency situations, and enabling them to support field and awareness efforts implemented by the administration.
The program included a comprehensive introductory tour of the participants, which included civil defense departments, with the aim of informing them of the nature of field work and the tasks of the departments, and their role in supporting the national response system. In addition to setting up a number of theoretical and specialized workshops, the most prominent of which are the principles of first aid and dealing with emergency injuries, the basics of fire control and the use of firefighting equipment, home safety and the safety of facilities, Awareness of the dangers of fires, introducing the national platform for civil protection and the mechanism of benefiting from its awareness and training content.
