The Capital Municipality affirmed its continuous keenness to continue providing a safe and appropriate environment for the central market visitors, through the daily follow -up of all the work of maintenance and technical safety in the market, and the immediate response to all reports and observations.
Referring to the video circulating on the power outage in part of the lighting and fans in the shaded area outside the central market of Manama, the Capital Municipality explained that what was stated in the video about the continuation of the problem about two weeks inaccurate, as maintenance work is carried out on a daily basis, and immediately after receiving the communication.
As for the holidays, it happened today, and it became clear after the field inspection that in a part of the shadow area outside the market due to the high humidity, which led to an electrical contact in one of the fans and caused a temporary interruption of the electrical current in part of the site.
The technical teams concerned with taking the necessary measures to address the defect and restore electricity began as soon as possible, which was actually done thanks to the readiness of the technical teams and the activation of the approved emergency plans.
The Capital Secretariat confirmed its continued intensification of daily inspection tours on all market facilities, and to monitor the notes in a proactive manner in a manner that guarantees the safety and comfort of all market visitors and workers in it.
