The Board of Tenders and Auctions organized a virtual workshop entitled “Rights of Suppliers and Contractors”, in which 148 purchasing specialists from private sector companies participated in the framework of the council’s commitment to enhance the principles of transparency, justice and equal opportunities in government tenders.
In this regard, Mr. Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Tender and Auctions, affirmed that spreading awareness and knowledge represents the cornerstone of a successful partnership, noting that such workshops contribute to enhancing the efficiency of government spending and consolidating the values of integrity, transparency and competitiveness in the various stages of the government purchase cycle.
This, the workshop highlighted the legal frameworks and legislative schedules regulating purchasing operations, with the aim of enabling the participants to provide higher quality offers and enhance government spending efficiency.
