The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom organized an official reception at the headquarters of the British Parliament, on the occasion of the official visit to His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al -Muslim, Chairman of the House of Representatives, in the presence of members of the relevant parliamentary committee in the Kingdom of Bahrain, members of the Bahraini British Friendship Association, in addition to a number of British parliamentarians and former ministers.
During the ceremony that was held today (Wednesday), His Excellency the Speaker of Parliament delivered a speech in which he emphasized the depth of historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, pointing to the established partnership, which requires construction on it in order to enhance parliamentary cooperation based on mutual respect and fruitful partnership, calling for the expansion of areas of legislative experiences to support sustainable development and international peace.
His Excellency pointed out that such meetings contribute to promoting joint understanding between legislative institutions, and consolidating the pillars of political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
He also expressed his appreciation for the role of members of the British Parliament in upgrading the level of bilateral relations, praising the efforts made by the Bahrain Embassy in London, led by His Excellency Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Dean of the Arab diplomatic corps, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, by activating the role of Bahraini diplomacy in extending bridges of communication and promoting constructive dialogue.
At the end of the ceremony, the Speaker of the House of Representatives confirmed his aspiration to continue joint work with the British side, to serve the two friendly countries and peoples, and makes this partnership a role model in international parliamentary cooperation.
