The University of Menoufia announced that the Oncology Institute Hospital has obtained initial accreditation from the General Authority for Accreditation and Supervision “Gahar”, after passing a comprehensive evaluation process conducted by internationally qualified specialized teams, according to the national standards approved by the “ESCWA”.

This accreditation is the culmination of the efforts made by the institute’s administration and medical and administrative cadres to improve the quality of health services provided to oncology patients, in Menoufia Governorate and the Delta governorates with high population density.
This step is a new achievement that highlights the pioneering role of Egyptian universities in developing the health care system, and achieving integration between academic institutions and national accreditation bodies, in order to ensure the sustainability of quality and improve the level of institutional and medical performance.
Institute of Oncology Institute, Menoufia University, the second facility at the university, to obtain the authority’s accreditation
The Oncology Institute Hospital is the second specialized health facility affiliated with the University of Menoufia to obtain the authority’s accreditation, as part of a plan in which the university seeks to obtain institutional accreditation for all its health facilities, with the aim of providing educational, training and therapeutic services in accordance with the best local and international standards.
The Institute includes seven medical departments that include: pediatric and blood diseases, oncology, radiation treatment, nuclear medicine, oncology and hematology, oncology biology, medical statistics and cancer epidemiology, and the Palfation Department. It also gives master’s and doctorate degrees in a number of accurate specializations.
For its part, the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Supervision announced the approval of 32 new health facilities, including the Oncology Institute Hospital at Menoufia University, confirming that accreditation decisions are based on accurate field assessments by neutral and trained teams, which are committed to the highest standards of transparency and integrity, and are subject to a strict control system to ensure quality and continuity.
The authority indicated that the institute presented a distinguished model in adhering to quality standards, and that its obtaining accreditation reflects the university’s keenness to develop health service, medical education and scientific research to serve a large segment of citizens.
