The company confirmed in post messages to the users, that they have a final opportunity today to download or keep a copy of these videos, before they are permanently deleted from tomorrow morning.
According to Mita, the deletion process will include all the direct broadcast videos published more than 30 days ago, whether on public pages or personal accounts.
This procedure comes within the framework of updating the policy of storing direct broadcast content on Facebook, and the company called on all users to visit the account settings to display videos before removing them permanently.
In another context, Facebook launched a new security advantage under the name of advanced protection, targeting accounts that have a high interaction and a large number of followers, especially those affiliated with celebrities, media professionals, and pages with a wide mass impact.
Engineer Mahmoud Faraj, an information technology expert, said that the feature is supported by artificial intelligence technologies, which enables Facebook to predict and prevent attempts to penetrate before their occurrence, especially with the increasing electronic attacks during the last period.
Among the most prominent characteristics of the advanced protection feature:
- Simplified activation of bilateral approval (2FA).
- Monitor proactive security threats.
- Submit immediate security recommendations, such as the need to change the password or enable more protection layers.
- The account is temporarily freezing until the user’s identity is confirmed, if an unusual activity is discovered.
