Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States announced the recording of 17 new cases of measles today in their weekly modernization, bringing the total confirmed cases for this year to 1214 cases of 36 judicial states, according to American media.

Although measles slowed since its peak in late March, the rise in cases brings the country closer to exceeding 1274 cases reported in 2019, which is now the highest number reported in one year since the elimination of the disease in the United States in 2020, and there have been 285 confirmed cases of measles in 2024.
The centers of diseases control and prevention were reported about two additional fascism (3 or more relevant cases), bringing the total number of outbreaks in 2025 to 23 cases, out of 1214 confirmed cases in the United States, 89% of which are linked to the outbreak of the disease.
In 2024, only 16 cases were reported, 69% of which are linked to these outbreaks, and the largest outbreak was recorded in 2025 in West Texas, where 750 confirmed cases were recorded since late January.
The spread of measles in America
The effectiveness of two doses of measles, mumps and measles (MMR) is 97% in the prevention of measles, while the effectiveness of a single dose is 93%.
The maintenance of the elimination of measles requires a 95% or more vaccination coverage, but the data published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last year shows that during the 2023-2024 academic year, the percentage of MMR vaccine coverage among kindergarten children in the United States decreased to 92.7%.
In a recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the researchers found that the MMR vaccination rates decreased in 78% of American provinces since the beginning of the pandemic.
Among the most recent cases in Georgia, the condition of an unjust person, a member of the family of measles, was infected in May.
This is the second case associated with the previous case, and the Ministry of Health in Georgia reported that the person was placed in home quarantine after exposure to the virus, and no other cases of exposure occurred outside the home.
