The Central Finance Department in Sharjah hosted the “Caravan of Documentation” event, which was organized in cooperation with the Documentation House in the emirate, in conjunction with the International Archives Week, with the aim of collecting old documents and historical files, and enhancing the culture of documentation among employees. Aisha Liwad, head of the documents and archive group in the department, stressed that the document is not just a paper, but a memory that preserves the work and achievement process, and a mirror that reflects the development of institutions, and from this standpoint, our participation in the event came with the aim of consolidating the culture of institutional documentation and preserving records that are part of the emirate’s memory and history.
