Minister of Communications and Communications: Enhancing the development and strategic partnership with the State of Qatar in the fields of transportation and logistical services

Dr. confirmed. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Communications and Communications, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance historical relations and development and strategic partnership with the sisterly State of Qatar, and to upgrade them in the areas of transportation, land, sea, air, and logistical services, in a way that serves common interests in light of the high directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and his brother His Highness His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir The State of Qatar.

This came during his reception at the Ministry’s headquarters, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Thani, Minister of Communications in the State of Qatar, on the occasion of his official visit and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom, to discuss ways to enhance economic and investment relations between the two brotherly countries, and exchange technical and technical expertise in the fields of land transport, railways, maritime navigation and civil aviation.

During the meeting, the Minister of Communications and Communications affirmed the pride of the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of the royal vision, and the government’s directions headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, in the close and growing partnership with the sisterly State of Qatar, and its interest in enhancing fraternal integration in developing transportation and infrastructure sectors, securing maritime and air navigation movement, and supporting joint economic projects within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council system.

The two sides reviewed the most prominent development and strategic projects, the most important of which are: the Bahrain Bridge – Qatar Bridge project for land link between the two countries with a length of 40 kilometers and the joint maritime link project and other joint projects and initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable development efforts, facilitating the movement of individuals, goods and vehicles, and then contributing to promoting trade and tourism exchange, raising the efficiency of supply chains, encouraging joint investments in The logistical, tourist and industrial sectors, as well as providing new job opportunities, and consolidating economic, social and cultural ties between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

The two ministers discussed the practical steps to accelerate the implementation of land and maritime linking projects between the two countries and the development of infrastructure, facilities, services and related logistical equipment, and the formation of joint work teams to follow up on the work progress according to the best global practices, expressing their aspiration to represent these strategic projects a qualitative addition to the march of Gulf economic integration, in line with the progress made in implementing the project of the railway network for the countries of the Council, It is scheduled to complete it by 2030.

The Minister of Communications and Communications affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to provide the necessary ingredients for the success of land and maritime linking projects between the two countries, and the partnership in developing logistical services, as a qualitative shift in the process of sustainable development, in harmony with Bahrain’s economic vision 2030, and supporting partnership and integration between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, in order to achieve the common development interests of both countries and two brotherly peoples, and the peoples of the region in its entire region.

For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Thani, Minister of Communications in Qatar, expressed his country’s pride in the close brotherly relations that link it to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its keenness to expand the areas of cooperation and partnership in the transportation sectors, ports, logistical services and digital innovation, in a way that supports sustainable development goals, stressing the importance of implementing joint development projects, in a way that contributes to promoting Gulf economic integration, and returns Good and prosperity over all the peoples of the region.

At the end of the visit, the Minister of Communications and Communications, accompanied by the Qatari Minister of Communications, toured a naval tour to the Boumahir Castle, and a visit to the Manama Post Museum, which documents the stages of the development of the postal and communications sector in the Kingdom, and embodies an important aspect of the history of regional and international exchange in the field of postal services.
