Engineer Hassan Al -Khatib shared Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade In the activities of the Egyptian -Chinese Investment Forum, which was organized by the Commercial Office in Shanghai, and held under the title, Egypt and China: new investment opportunities, and hosted by the Chinese city of Shanghai during the Minister’s visit to the State of China, as opportunities, ingredients and incentives of investment in the Egyptian market were reviewed.

The minister said that Egypt and China are linked to bilateral strategic relations based on great support from the political leadership of the two countries, as well as for distinguished diplomatic relations that extend for 70 years, in addition to the passage of more than 10 years since the level of relations between the two countries to the comprehensive strategic partnership, noting that the Egyptian government attaches great importance to the file of cooperation with China as one of the most important partners of the Egyptian state in the fields of trade and investment.
Al -Khatib pointed out the importance of strengthening joint efforts to increase investment cooperation between Egypt and China and encourage more Chinese companies to invest in Egypt and benefit from the distinguished investment opportunities available in a large number of fields of common concern between the two countries, including engineering and electronic industries, the auto industry, machinery, equipment, medicines, renewable energy, building materials and others.
The minister pointed out that the Egyptian market has many distinguished investment ingredients, which qualify it to attract more foreign direct investments, including the availability of qualified workforce, competitive wages and the availability of distinguished engineering competencies, along with the pivotal geographical location, and Egypt’s association with a large number of free and preferential trade agreements with a large number of countries and major regional and global economic blocs, which enable the Egyptian product to be free For these markets.
For his part, the head of the Chinese Council for International Cooperation in Shanghai stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries, noting that a large number of Chinese companies have invested in Egypt recently.
