The National Center for Housing and Building Research, headed by Dr. Mohamed Masoud, head of the center, held a symposium entitled the Center’s contributions in the field of smart sustainable cities, while shedding light on the evidence of smart cities.
Housing Research: Preparing 8 indicative guides to simplify dealing with smart code code in the various sectors
This comes within the framework of the state’s orientation and based on the role of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities represented by the National Center for Housing Research to preserve sustainable urban development within the achievement of Egypt’s Vision 2030, as the preparation of an integrated system for smart sustainable urban development is one of its goals.
Dr. Mohamed Masoud said, in a statement issued today, Tuesday, that the center is working to provide codes and guidelines to prepare the infrastructure for the fourth generation of new smart cities, as it depends in its applications on communications technology, information, and wireless networks and work to achieve sustainability requirements and improve the level of the quality of urban life using applications, networks and digital technologies, and provides interactive electronic services in various fields As a tool to invest intelligence in dealing with urban issues.
He pointed out that the center works to change the culture of construction in Egypt to provide energy and reuse the waste resulting from construction work and the optimal use of the materials and materials available in the environment, and the center began in the last period to issue many codes, evidence and standards that aim to achieve sustainability and value engineering principles to reduce the cost of construction and construction and reduce pressure on natural resources consisting of foreign currency.
He explained that the center has prepared 8 guidelines to simplify dealing with the code of smart cities and contribute to introducing the basic principles of smart cities in the various sectors in the field of smart urbanization and the field of smart infrastructure.
