Ten years after the establishment of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, and its belief in the importance of expanding services to include the largest possible number of people with disabilities of various nationalities and ages, according to international best practices, the Massarat Center for Development and Empowerment of the city was established in 1989, and it was known as the Vocational Rehabilitation Department, then changed the year 2016 to its current name. Three departments consists of the center of three sections, which are the Department of Continuing Education, which provides associate educational programs, and the production projects department, which aims to be a model for a leading social institution to enable people with disabilities by providing vocational training and employment opportunities, and finally the recruitment department that contributes to providing job opportunities
