The French club Paris Saint -Germain is moving strongly during the current summer transfer market, in an effort to support its ranks with new players who meet the requirements of coach Luis Enrique, led by young Ukrainian defender Elia Zaparni, the English player of Bournemouth.

Zabarni agrees and negotiations are ongoing

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Zabarni gave his initial approval to move to Paris Saint -Germain, but the French club administration has not yet reached an official agreement with Bournemouth on completing the deal. Romano explained that the negotiations between the two parties still exist, amid a great desire from the “PSG” to resolve the deal in his favor in the coming days.

Preparing alternatives in the event of stumbling

Despite Paris Saint -Germain’s adherence to contracting with Zabarni, the club maintains alternative options to strengthen his defense line, according to what Romano indicated, who confirmed that Luis Campus, the club’s sports adviser, set another name on the management table if the Bournemouth defender fails.

Paris recent achievements

The Parisian club is seeking to maintain its competitiveness after a historic season during which the Champions League 2024-2025 was crowned, after a sweeping victory over Inter Milan 5-0 in the final match. Paris officials hope to exploit this continental success to build a more solid team, especially in the back line.

Who is Zabarni?

Elia Zabarni is one of the most prominent young Premier League defenders, and he is only 22 years old. He joined Bournemouth in January 2023 from Dinamo Kiev, Ukrainian, and quickly succeeded in imposing himself within the team’s starting lineup, thanks to his physical strength and good reading. He is also an international player in the ranks of Ukraine.

A former departure opens the door

Bournemouth had earlier sold his Spanish defender Dean Huysin to Real Madrid, making the possibility of giving up Zabarni less easy, given his need for defense stability before the start of the new season.
