The Pakistani government has officially announced its intention to nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2026, in appreciation of his “decisive diplomatic intervention and his pivotal leadership” during the recent crisis between India and Pakistan.

An Indian aggression received calculated

In a statement published on the “X” platform, the government said that the international community witnessed “an unjustified and unlawful Indian aggression”, which considered it a flagrant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and led to civilian casualties, including women, children and the elderly.

In response, Pakistan launched the process of Bunyan Marsous, which was described as a “calculated, firm and accurate” military response, aimed at exercising the basic right to self -defense and re -imposing deterrence, while avoiding targeting civilians.

Trump, the peacemaker in a critical moment

The statement pointed out that President Trump, at the height of regional escalation, showed “a strategic dimension and an exceptional ability to lead”, through an active diplomatic intervention with Islamabad and New Delhi, which resulted in calming the situation and a ceasefire.

Pakistan confirmed that this intervention prevented a broader dispute between two nuclear powers, which would have caused a regional and perhaps global catastrophe.

Initiatives to solve deeper crises

The Pakistani government praised what it described as the “sincere efforts” made by Trump to resolve the chronic conflict in Kashmir, and considered that the permanent peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions related to the region.

A diplomatic legacy that goes beyond the crisis

The statement concluded that Trump’s role in the 2025 crisis between Pakistan and India is a continuation of his “legacy in realistic diplomacy and peacebuilding”, expressing its hope that his efforts to contribute to regional and global stability will continue, especially in the crises of the Middle East, including the human tragedy in Gaza and the escalating escalation with Iran.
