St. Catherine is witnessing a demand from tourists and visitors, on the third day of Eid Al -Adha, despite the closure of the monastery today, Sunday, to perform the prayers of the monks.
Mahmoud Othman, an inspector of the monuments of Saint Catherine to Cairo 24, said that the city of Saint Catherine received today numbers of tourists and visitors of various nationalities, in order to climb Jabal Musa, visit the reserve, climb Jabal Abbas, and visit the rest of the late President Anwar Sadat, in addition to visiting the Great Development Project that will be opened at the end of this year.
Othman confirmed that the city today received 380 tourists and visitors, including 210 Egyptians and 170 tourists, all of whom climbed Mount Moses to watch the sunrise from the highest mountain peak in Egypt.
He pointed out that the city of Saint Catherine depends on its visit to tourists coming from the city of Sharm El -Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba, through one -day trips, due to the great development that the city is witnessing within the project of the Great Transfiguration.

He revealed that the closure of the monastery today and the lack of reception of tourists is due to the fact that Sunday, the monastery’s leave, and here no permanent visits are allowed, due to the performance of the prayers carried out by the monastery of the monastery throughout the day, and it will be opened tomorrow to receive visitors and tourists of different nationalities.
