An American court issued a 37 -month prison sentence against Asif Rahman, a former CIA analyst (CIA), after being convicted of revealing Israeli plans to launch a retaliatory attack on Iran in October 2024.
The US Department of Justice stated in an official statement published on its website that a court sentenced a former CIA in prison for 37 months, on charges of possessing and transferring very secret information related to the illegal national defense to people who are not authorized to receive it.
Last January, Rahman confessed to leaking very secret records revealing the Israeli military preparations for a retaliatory attack on Iran in the fall of 2024, which led to the amendment of the operation.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli army announced in October 2024 to launch strikes on military targets in Iran in response to the October 1 attacks on Israel. CBS reported, quoting a source, that the Israeli attack was limited to military targets only and did not include nuclear or oil installations.
