During its last session, the municipal council discussed, within the item of the new works, the suffering of the people of the 111 and 112 complexs in the eighth district of the absence of sanitation services, based on the proposal of the municipal council member, representative of the department, Muhammad al -Muqhawi.
Al -Muqawi pointed out that the residents of the buildings in the compounds bear large financial burdens as a result of the absence of the sewage network, as they are forced to pay sums from their own money to cover the costs of drainage of wastewater from their homes.
He explained that this suffering has been going on for a long time, without any tangible move from the competent authorities, despite its progress in several previous recommendations in this regard, pointing out that the people are calling for a fundamental solution that guarantees them their right to basic services that are considered one of the most basic elements of a decent life.
He indicated that the absence of infrastructure in these areas is not appropriate for the level of services that are supposed to be provided to citizens, stressing that this neglect harms the interests of the population and weakens the quality of their lives.
Al -Muqawi called on the concerned authorities to deal seriously with these demands, and expedite the implementation of sanitation projects in the region, in a way that relieves the people of the people, and achieves justice in the distribution of services.
