On the occasion of the International Day of Dialogue between Civilizations, which was approved by the United Nations General Assembly to agree with the tenth of June of each year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed great pride in the enlightened royal vision, which enhances the culture of coexistence, mutual respect, tolerance and peaceful coexistence based on understanding and acquaintance between peoples, cultures, religions and civilizations, as basic pillars to achieve justice, peace, respect for human rights Frankly in the Kingdom’s foreign policy, and an authentic part of its ancient humanitarian and civilizational legacy.
The Minister pointed to the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain as an active partner in the United Nations system for the alliance of civilizations, and to enhance the unity of humanity in the context of its difference, multiplicity and religious, cultural and ethnic diversity, through its balanced diplomatic positions, supporting dialogue and understanding to resolve conflicts by peaceful means, combating extremism, intolerance and terrorism, as well as its humanitarian and development initiatives aimed at promoting international stability, Peace, justice, and sustainable development, in line with the principles of the United Nations Charter and the provisions of international law.
In this context, the Foreign Minister noted the launch of the “Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain” for the freedom of religion and belief, and what the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance offers from educational, cultural and training programs to empower young people as ambassadors of peace, and the supreme call launched by His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, to approve an international agreement to criminalize religious and racist hat On the promotion of dialogue between religions, cultures and civilizations, and providing international prizes for supportive and inspiring models for tolerance, coexistence and humanity service, the progress of women and the empowerment of young people.
The Minister also expressed his great pride in the crowning of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its wise diplomatic approach and its ancient civilized mission, by electing a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the period 2026-2027, at 9.59 percent of the votes of the United Nations General Assembly, and the adoption of its qualitative initiative regarding the approval of the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence, and the adoption of the Arab summit “Bahrain Summit” for many of its humanitarian initiatives calling for an international conference for peace in the East The middle, providing health and educational services for those affected by conflicts.
