The deputy head of the Business Society Support Sector in Dubai Chamber Maha Al -Qarqawi said that the numbers of active Bahraini companies registered in the membership of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce grew by 11.3%, bringing the number to 670 companies that embody the depth of economic relations between Dubai and Bahrain, noting that the value of non -oil trade between them amounted to 22.3 billion dirhams in the past year, recording a growth of 41% compared to 2023.
Maha Al -Qarqawi added, in her statement during the Bahrain -Emirati Business Forum, that the business forum reflects the common will to upgrade economic relations to serve common interests.
She expressed the commitment of Dubai Chambers to provide support and facilities for Bahraini companies to establish businesses in Dubai, and to help Dubai companies expand in the Bahraini market.
She emphasized that this forum constitutes an important platform for communication between businessmen, Emiratis and Bahrainis, which contributes to facilitating matters and providing opportunities from both sides.
She pointed out that these activities embody the continuous cooperation between the two countries in enhancing economic and investment ties, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable growth and expanding the prospects for cooperation between the business community in Dubai and Bahrain.
The attendees at the Bahraini -Emirati Forum emphasized the depth of economic partnership, expressing their happiness at the inauguration of the UAE investor center in Bahrain, which has strengthened cooperation between the two countries in the field of local content, as well as the recently signed memorandum of understanding on integration in national added value programs, which provides for the treatment of products manufactured in the Emirates as Bahraini national products and vice versa.
Bahraini investors stressed that integration would enhance the opportunities of national products in government purchases and support the growth of local industries in both countries, in the context of the joint Gulf economic development efforts.
During the forum, Emirati officials unanimously agreed by the distinguished position of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UAE, praising the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, which witnessed a continuous development thanks to the work of the Joint Supreme Committee. They also expressed their aspiration for more coordination and integration in the economic, commercial and investment fields, in order to achieve the strategic interests of the two countries.
