The discriminatory public prosecutor in Lebanon, Judge Jamal Al -Hajjar, ordered the arrest of the former Minister of Economy Amin Salam, after the latter interrogated before the Information Division for 3 hours in the file of forgery and the conclusion of suspicious contracts and the disposal of funds other than the law.
The official Lebanese National Media Agency reported that Al -Hajjar “ordered the arrest of the former Minister of Economy Amin Salam, after the latter interrogated before the Information Division for a period of 3 hours in the file of forgery, the conclusion of suspicious contracts and the disposal of funds other than the law, which is a file that is different from the file of embezzlement, unlawful enrichment and extortion of insurance companies.”
Report and interrogation
This came after the National Economy, Industry, Trade, and Parliamentary Planning Committee submitted a report to the discriminatory Public Prosecution against both Amin Salam, his advisers Karim Salam, Fadi Tamim, and the financial auditor Elie Aboud, on charges of embezzlement, extortion and wasting public money.
On May 20, the discriminatory public prosecutor, Amin Salam, interrogated the report against him, according to the German News Agency.
Then on May 29, Judge Jamal Al -Hajjar, Amin Salam, was interrogated about the communication filed by him and his brother Karim Salam, on charges of embezzlement, extortion, wasting public money and money laundering.
At the end of the session, Al -Hajjar decided to release the former minister to guarantee his place of residence and re -work with a decision to prevent him from traveling.
