Aoun: Lebanon will remain an oasis of peace and no one wants war
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stressed that Lebanon will remain a vibrant country, rejecting the idea of drawing into any war, despite the escalating tensions in the region.
Lebanon is still alive despite the challenges
Aoun said in a speech on Friday: “Whatever the challenges, and whatever the confrontations around Lebanon and its surroundings, our country will continue to be vibrant.” He added that there are efforts to rebuild the country and enhance the confidence of the Lebanese people and their future.
“Who wants war?”
In response to a question about the possibility of the war to return to Lebanon, President Aoun asked: “Is there anyone who wants the war in Lebanon?
Support for Berri’s position: “200%, no war”
Aoun concluded his speech by supporting the position of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, saying: “I support what President Berri said: 200 percent is not a war in Lebanon, because we have no interest in it, and Iran does not need us.”
