Ambassador Khaled Youssef Al -Jalahmah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, participated in the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council in its sixty -fourth session, which was held today in the sisterly State of Kuwait headed by His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, and in the presence of His Highness and Excellency Foreign Ministers in the GCC states, and His Excellency Mr. Jassim Muhammad Al -Badawi, Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council.
During the meeting, the topics listed on the agenda of the Ministerial Council were discussed, including following up the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council and the decisions of the Ministerial Council, and the recommendations made by the ministerial committees and specialized councils.
The Council also discussed the results of the conduct of the free trade agreement negotiations between the Cooperation Council, countries and international groups, and the joint ministerial meetings between the Cooperation Council and a number of friendly countries.
The Ministerial Council discussed the developments of the regional situation and the efforts made to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, protect civilians, release the hostages and detainees, communicate humanitarian aid, pay the efforts of a two -state solution and bring in a fair and comprehensive peace in the region.
His Excellency Mr. Salah Ali Al -Maliki, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Kuwait, and Ambassador Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al -Haidan, Head of Legal Affairs Sector, Acting Head of the Cooperation Council Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
