At dawn on Friday, the Jordanian Royal Air Force and Air Defense systems intercepted a number of missiles and drones that penetrated the Jordanian airspace, according to the Jordanian News Agency “Petra”, quoting a responsible military source in the General Command of the Armed Forces. The source emphasized that the air force is working with high readiness to protect the Jordanian airspace, noting that the objection came to prevent these missiles and marches in populated areas that may cause damage. The armed forces stressed their continuous work to protect the Jordan border, warning citizens not to spread rumors, calling them to rely on official sources.
These developments came after Israel carried out an expanded military operation targeting sensitive sites in Iran, including the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements. Netanyahu pointed out that the operation aims to “defeat the Iranian threat”, stressing the killing of prominent leaders of the Revolutionary Guards, including Hussein Salami and Muhammad Baqri, during the strikes.
