The Israeli army warns against undermining security
In an official statement, the Israeli army said that the destruction of the security facility “is a direct threat to the security of the population” in Ramallah, as these facilities play a decisive role in monitoring threats and preventing armed operations.
Previous riots and confrontations
The incident preceded riots carried out by settlers near a military base in the area, which led to clashes with the security forces. The army issued a statement condemning the violence, stressing that “the security services are expected to bring those responsible for these attacks to justice, even if they are Israeli civilians,” and stressed his commitment to “protecting citizens and enforcing law without exception.”
An official investigation and an angry government position opened
Israeli police and firefighting units announced the opening of an investigation into the incident, and pictures were published showing widespread damage to the facility and the effects of the writings that they had taken.
