The Israeli police announced, on Sunday, the death toll from the Iranian missile attack on Saturday night on Israel to 13 people after the recovery of additional bodies from under the rubble of a building in the center of the country.
“6 people were killed and 180 others were wounded,” said the police chief of Ayalon, in central Israel, noting that there are at least 7 people missing and are likely to be under the rubble.
According to the authorities, 4 other people were killed in another location in northern Israel.
Israel and Iran have exchanged a new wave of attacks during the night until Sunday morning, and US President Donald Trump said that the conflict could end easily, warning Tehran against hitting American targets.
The authorities said that the Israeli rescue teams combed the ruins of devastating residential buildings in the raids, using the lamps and police dogs to search for survivors after the killing of at least 13 people.
Tehran decided to cancel the nuclear talks that Washington described as the only way to stop the Israeli bombing, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the attacks that Iran has been subjected to so far is not compared to what it will witness in the coming days.
“If Iran attacks us in any way, it will face the power and full ability of the American armed forces at levels that have not been seen before,” Trump said in a post on his social media platform (Truth Social).
“But we can easily reach an agreement between Tehran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict,” he added.
Trump has not provided details about any possible agreement.
