The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the drug recovery association, Adel Boussaba, affirmed that the number of beneficiaries of recovery programs during the year 2024 reached 144 cases, indicating that the increase in awareness among individuals and families contributed to considering the association a positive step towards recovery. Boussaba stressed that the association opens its doors to all, from Bahraini citizens, to residents and brothers from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, based on its belief that the treatment is a human right that is not limited by belonging or nationality.
Boussaba revealed inspiring success stories achieved by some beneficiaries, including a young man who successfully exceeded the treatment program, received social support, job and happy marriage, and another re -restored his relationship with his family after he was about to separate.
The association pays special attention to the role of the family in the recovery stages, through family counseling programs and intense training workshops. It is also making efforts to rehabilitate professionally recovering, and encourage them to enter the labor market or establish special projects, in cooperation with civil society institutions and supportive companies.
“We have more than a success story in the drug recovery association, including a young man who graduated from the association’s treatment program, so he received social acceptance of his family, as he obtained a suitable job, then he applied for marriage to one of the girls, and the association supported him materially for marriage, and now he has a boy and a girl and continues to recover, praise be to God, and that one of the addicted young people who entered the association’s treatment, reached a dead way with his family, who is married And he built and threatened to divorce. After passing the qualifying and therapeutic program in the association, his relationship with his family was restored, and his wife and family returned to him, and praise be to God now works and stable in his life.
He added: “Among the qualifying and therapeutic program for addicts in the drug recovery association, we are within the therapeutic team to restore the relationship between the addict and his family.
He continued: “In addition to this effort, the Assembly seeks, through its societal partnerships with the Islamic Education Association and others, in the inclusion of these families to the menstrual aid lists, and this matter is done after the implementation of the study of cases and ensuring that they are among the owners During communication with various business authorities and companies as a kind of recommendation for recovery job opportunities. “
And that the occasion of the International Day to combat the abuse of drugs and the illegal trafficking in it comes to celebrate the countries of the world with the importance of fighting and combating drugs, and the scourge of drugs, as it is the origin of every misfortune, the basis of every vice, and the key to every evil, as drugs are slow suicide, cold, and horrific dimensional.
