The Information and Electronic Government Authority called on the honorable citizens and residents to activate the alerts and alarm features through the “MyGov App” application within the precautionary efforts aimed at supporting the civil protection system and promoting public safety.
This feature aims to ensure receiving notifications issued by the official authorities in the emergency situations, enabling individuals to take appropriate measures at the appropriate time, and contribute to enhancing the response to emergency and protecting lives and property.
The authority emphasized that the alerts feature and warnings through the application of “My Government” are an effective digital channel in emergency conditions to raise the readiness of individuals and enhance societal awareness, explaining that it comes as a complement to an integrated system to send messages and alerts via multiple communication channels, to ensure official information and instructions reach the widest possible segment and enhance the efficiency of community response in all circumstances.
The authority explained that to benefit from this service, the “My Government” application must be updated through official stores on iOS and Android and Huawei devices, and to activate the “public notifications” feature within the application settings.
