Belgian coach Feniest Kompany spoke to the team’s coach Bayern MunichOn the loss of his team in the last round of the group stage of the 2025 Club World Cup, from the Portuguese Benfica team.

After occupying the first and second places in the third group, the two teams qualified, while the tournament bid farewell to the third and fourth places, Boca Juniors, Argentine and Auckland City, New Zealand.

“The first half was not good at all, I must be honest, part of that returns to the field and heat, I was afraid that we will not win, but that things will not go smoothly as it is customary, however, I was sure that we will appear better in the second half, and indeed we made a lot of opportunities.
The Belgian coach continued: In the second half, we played very well, this is football, if you have opportunities, breakfast with the goalkeeper, and other opportunities, and you did not take advantage of them, you ultimately pay the price.
On the team that will face the Blues in the round of 16 of the tournament, Kompany said: We will face Flamingo or Chelsea, so it will be a difficult match anyway, I do not think we will take anything negative from this match to the next confrontation.
