The adviser to the Iranian Supreme Leader, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, said that the negotiations that took place with Iran were not aimed at reaching an agreement, but rather a “trick to provoke chaos and protests in the Iranian street,” as he described it.
Shamkhani added, in an interview broadcast by Iranian radio, that “Israel believed that Iran was ready for internal turmoil, but the Iranian people gave them a lesson and proved that they were fools,” according to his expression.
Shamkhani revealed his escape from an assassination attempt following an Israeli air strike targeting his house, noting that he remained under the rubble for 3 hours after the attack, and was broken in his chest, stressing “I prayed the morning and I was under the rubble.”
“I knew that we were making touching strikes for the enemy, and it was clear from the wrath of the Western media,” Shamkhani said, adding: “They lied when they said that my feet were amputated, and even if I was cut off, what should I do with it?” According to his expression.
Shamkhani stressed that Iran was in advance of the Israeli attack, and the leaders were replaced within only 12 hours, and Iranian operations began according to pre -prepared plans.
“I know why I was a target of assassination, but I can’t talk about the reason now, and I can only say that I have exhausted them a lot,” he said.
Shamkhani had appeared, earlier Saturday, during the funeral of Iranian leaders and scientists who died in the recent war.
This is the first public appearance of Shamkhani since his place of residence was an Israeli missile attack on the first night of the outbreak of the war.
It was then reported that he was killed in that strike, but sources close to the government later denied this, that Shamkhani was injured.
His appearance in today’s ceremony sparked widespread interactions on social media, as some considered it a “symbolic return” for one of the most prominent security faces in the Iranian regime, especially after weeks of ambiguity about its fate.
