In the first official comment on the death of the young doctor Ali Mr. Jalal, Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Assiut University Hospitals, denied that there were any indications of being subjected to exceptional work pressure before his death.
Attia said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24 that the late doctor was doing his work normally until last Thursday, as he handed over his Nobstage on Friday morning, and then disappeared, which prompted his family to inform the concerned authorities.
Details of the death of a doctor
The dean of the college explained that the deceased doctor did not show any complaints related to stress or work pressure, and he was following his duties in the hospital according to the schedule set for him without any remarkable notes.
He added: “He was on his job until Thursday, and the Nobaji handed over his Friday morning, and there was no strange need in it.”
Regarding the talk about the doctor’s conversation suffering from professional pressures that may be a cause of his death, Attia pointed out the difficulty of asserting this without clear evidence, saying: “We know who is in pressure or not?
