At a moment between life and death, Mahmoud Rajab Metwally, a Solar transport vehicle driver, decided to venture with everything he had to save the lives of dozens, when he flared fire in his car while unloading the carrier at the Orascom Company site in Abu Al -Saud Square in ancient Egypt, while carrying out the fourth line of the subway.

The driver, Mahmoud Rajab Metwally, was transporting approximately 16 thousand liters of Solar, and was surprised by electric diamonds in the back motor of the car that caused fire quickly.
During his conversation with Cairo 24, Mahmoud Ragab said that he did not hesitate to drive the burning car away from the site, despite the seriousness of the situation, to avoid an explosion that could lead to a human tragedy, at a site that is safe with workers and citizens and surrounded by hospitals and residential buildings.
He continued: “I did not think … all that is in my mind that Arabic is burning easier than a child who is lengthening or people die .. I said, may God make up for me,” explaining that the car that caught his own property, and has suffered severe damage, but he considers what he did is a human duty, adding: “The damage in my car is easier than a catastrophe that affects the lives of people … And all that concerns me is away from any place where people or flammable materials were .. It has children’s hospitals near, and the street has many people.
While the civil protection forces arrived and managed to put out the fire and control it completely, without any injuries or human losses, while the concerned authorities opened to achieve the causes of the accident and its details.
The incident that almost turned into a disaster, thanks to Mahmoud Ragab’s courage, turned into the story of a real championship, whose hero is a simple driver who chose to lose his car, to protect the lives of others.
