This came during an official tour witnessed by the Egyptian Club Stadium in Port Said, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, and Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee, to follow up the executive position of construction work in the stadium, which is held on its historical location.
Opening of the Egyptian Club Stadium
The minister announced during the visit that the opening of the stadium will be on December 23, coinciding with the National Day of the Governorate, stressing that the project is receiving a special presidential attention to provide a sports facility worthy of the fans of the Egyptian club and Port Said Governorate.
The Minister of Youth and Sports also announced the allocation of 10 million pounds to support the establishment of the Port Said Stadium Youth Center in its new site, provided that the current site is exploited as an investment project for the club.
The minister, the governor and head of the Youth Committee emphasized that the construction work is carried out according to the latest international standards, and that the new field depends on the “hybrid” system between the natural and industrial grass, which is an advanced technology that is used only in three stadiums only at the level of the Republic, and that the stands have become closer to the green rectangle, and a sports hotel attached to the complex is held.
Although the date of the opening of the stadium is determined, the response to the fan’s question “When will the Egyptian play on his land?” He remained suspended without a clear answer, which sparked the interaction of the fans who look forward to the day when she sees her team back to the bosom of its historic stadium again.
