Dr. confirmed. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Communications and Communications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, the center continues to implement its qualitative educational and training programs, aimed at preparing a conscious and enabled generation of young people, and qualifying them scientifically and cognitively as ambassadors to spread the culture of peace, and consolidate the values of tolerance and coexistence, within the framework of the wise humanitarian approach to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country.
This came on the occasion of the launch of the second edition of the “Joint Graduate Studies Diploma in Coexistence”, in cooperation with the United Nations Peace University and the Joywiya Foundation for Higher Education in Malta, and with the participation of fifty male and female students from within the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad, where he said that this program comes within the framework of the center’s initiatives stemming from the informed royal vision, and the directives of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Education, culture and knowledge in establishing the values of peace and religious and civilizational dialogue, which recently culminated in the United Nations’s adoption of the Center’s initiative regarding the approval of the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.
The Minister expressed his pride in the growing partnership with prominent international academic institutions, which contribute to empowering young people and developing their research and scientific skills, in order to support the common goals in spreading a culture of peace and understanding among peoples, after the remarkable success of the program by graduating the first batch last December.
The Minister called on the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bahraini and international youth to register in this specialized academic program, and to benefit from his advanced axes, which include lectures and training workshops under the supervision of a group of international experts, and heads of prominent organizations in the fields of peace and human rights, religious freedoms, rejecting extremism and hatred, and a peaceful settlement of conflicts, in addition to sustainable development issues and international law, in line with principles United Nations Charter and Sustainable Development Goals.
D. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Communications and Communications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, the center’s keenness to continue its scientific and educational initiatives in cooperation with national and international institutions, to enhance the values of dialogue, coexistence and mutual respect, and contribute to building a generation capable of facing challenges with the spirit of peace and solidarity, in an effort towards a more secure, coexistence and prosperity.
