A senior German military official said that the air attack carried out by Ukraine by drones, early last week, caused approximately 10% of the Russian strategic bombers fleet, in a blow described as “unprecedented” of Moscow air and nuclear capabilities.
The Miguer General Christian Freuding, the military coordinator of German aid to Ukraine, explained in a voice recording by Reuters, that Berlin’s assessments indicate that more than 12 Russian warplanes were wounded, including “T-95” and “To -22” launchers, in addition to rare “A-50” reconnaissance aircraft.

Freuding said that the Ukrainian strike targeted planes that were preparing to carry out air attacks against Ukrainian lands, pointing out that some affected planes, especially “A-50”, may have been not ready to serve when targeting them, but it represents a great loss due to its scarcity and vital role in providing air intelligence information, similar to “Aox” aircraft of NATO.
He pointed out that “these planes are no longer valid even for use as spare parts, which increases the splendor of the Russian loss,” stressing that 10% of the long -range launchers fleet is a huge number due to the connection of these aircraft with what is known as the “Russian nuclear trinity”, which includes nuclear missiles carried by land, sea and air.
