Chambers of Commerce revealed the high demand for soft drinks during the Eid al -Adha season, which coincided with the beginning of the summer and high temperatures.
Hazem Al -Menoufy, a member of the Food Division of Cairo 24, explained that sales of soft drinks witnessed a major boom during Eid al -Adha due to the seasonal turnout during those days for soft drinks.

Al -Menoufy pointed out that foreign companies have acquired the largest percentage of soft drink sales compared to Egyptian soft drinks, due to the widespread spread of major companies and affiliated supply chains compared to modern Egyptian startups in this field that started competition a few years ago.
Before the Eid al -Adha season, a major soft drink company has reduced its products and provided large discounts for merchants on soft drinks since the beginning of this month, in conjunction with the blessed Eid Al -Adha.
The commercial lists of Cairo revealed a deduction of merchants at about 48 pounds on a 250 -ml carton. This is the largest discount approved by the company during the past years, and the price of the Circassian recorded 320 pounds in the official price for the month of June, so that the net price after the discount is 272 pounds, and it should be noted that the official price in May was 320 pounds with a discount of only 8 pounds.
According to traders in the Egyptian market, the company’s discounts come in light of the intense competition with Egyptian soft drink companies, and in light of the “most consumable period during the year” with the approaching Eid Al -Adha.
Egyptian -made soft drink sales took control of the market and sales of drinks such as Spearo Spaction during the boycott campaigns in 2023, but with the calmness of popular campaigns to boycott foreign marks, sales are returned to firmly for foreign companies, according to market traders.
