Ford calls for more than 197,000 Mustang Mac-E cars because of the doors that may cause passengers to be imprisoned
The NHTSA National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced last week that the auto manufacturer calls for 197,432 cars 2021-2025, which are fully electric cars, due to a defect in Mazalej doors that may endanger the lives of children.
The Michigan-based company also calls for 120,000 Mustang Mac-E car outside the United States of America, according to a Ford spokesman.
While the National Traffic Safety Administration on highways explained that in the event that the level of the car battery is dramatically, the doors may remain closed as soon as the passenger comes out and the door is closed, which may be held by children and others who cannot open the doors using the internal door editing button, and the administration added that this may lead to serious injuries, especially in severe heat.
A Ford spokesman told CBS News that they are not aware of any injuries or accidents related to the defective doors, adding that the company is in the process of issuing a software update to address the recall process.
Ford is expected to send letters to notify the owners of cars on this danger on June 23, according to the National Traffic Safety Administration.
