Britain said that it will work to re -work with mobile nuclear deterrence, along with its current nuclear capabilities limited to submarines, within the framework of NATO NATO, by buying 12 F -35 fighters, capable of firing missiles equipped with nuclear heads.

The British government announced in a statement that Prime Minister Kiir Starmer will announce during the NATO summit in The Hague, on Wednesday, his country’s decision to buy these fighters, in the largest enhancement of the Kingdom’s nuclear situation since a generation, which will enable it to increase its participation in the task of Atlantic deterrence.
The statement added that Starmer emphasized that this double -use F -35 fighters will launch a new era for our leading Royal Air Force, and deter hostile threats affecting the United Kingdom and our allies.
After the end of the Cold War, the British nuclear deterrence was limited to NATO’s submarines, capable of launching missiles equipped with nuclear warheads.
