The Egyptian capital, Cairo, will host the activities of the Arab Championship For tennis For the young men and women under the age of 2025, organized by the Egyptian Tennis Federation headed by Captain Ismail Al -Shafi’i, under the supervision of the Arab Tennis Federation headed by Sheikh Ahmed Al -Jaber Al -Sabah, during the period from 22 to 26 June.
The tournament is witnessing the participation of seven Arab countries: Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iraq, and Egypt, and these countries represent nearly 50 players.
The championship draw was held on Saturday evening, at the Grand Plaza Club in the presence of representatives of the Arab and Egyptian federations, as well as the administrators and coaches of the participating teams, and the competitions are scheduled to start on Sunday morning at exactly nine.
Championship system:
- Getroots category: includes 5 teams, and competitions are held in one group system.
- The junior category: 8 teams divided into two groups, and the matches are held by one round system, where the first and seconds qualify from each group to the semi -finals, while the matches for identifying the fifth to eighth teams are held between the third and fourth teams in each group.
Engineer Walid Sami, Secretary -General of the Arab and Egyptian Tennis Federation, said in press statements that the junior category was balanced, as the Egyptian team A signed in one group with the Algerian national team, the second class on the results of the previous version. The Egyptian team B came in a group that includes the Tunisian national team, the first candidate for the title.
The Arab Tennis Federation pays special attention to this age group, as it is the basis for building a new generation of tennis players, and achieving the broader spread of the game at the Arab and international level.
