As for Russia, economic relations are witnessing a gradual development with it, mainly concentrated in the fields of energy, agriculture, and petrochemicals. There are promising opportunities for cooperation in the tourism, education and Islamic finance sector, as Moscow has shown interest in benefiting from Bahrain’s experience in this sector.
Bahrain and Russia are linked to a number of memoranda of understanding between the two countries at the government level, and at the level of the chambers of commerce and businessmen, which paves the way for a deeper stage of investment relations, especially in light of the Russian trend towards expanding its partnerships with the Gulf states.
