The Ministry of Education and Technical Education launched the activities of the closing ceremony of the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge competition in Egypt, honoring the winning students at the level of the Republic, as well as distinguished supervisors participating in the competition for the academic year 2024-25, at the Al-Manara Center for International Conferences Center under the auspices of Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education.

On the part of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Ayman Bahaa, Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Iman Hassan, head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Dr. Zainab Nour El -Din Mashhour, Director General of the General Administration of Libraries and the General Coordinator for the Challenge of Arab Reading at the Ministry of Education, and a number of leaders of the Ministry and a number of directors of educational directorates.

Dr. Ayman Bahaa El -Din, Deputy Minister of Technical Education, delivered a speech on behalf of Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, in which he expressed his happiness with the increasing success of this distinguished project, stressing that this project, which enjoys a great appreciation from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, works to encourage students in the Arab world to read and build knowledge and is the basis for any real civilization.

The Deputy Minister of Education stressed the great importance achieved by the Arab Reading Challenge competition in Egypt year after year, noting that this increasing demand, which this year has reached more than 17 million students representing more than 30 thousand schools, clearly reflects the level of our students and their superior ability to compete in global competitions in the cultural and intellectual fields, and that this competition has become the passion of our students for knowledge and culture We have to continue to encourage and motivate them, because cognitive and cultural investment in them will positively reflect on the growth of our country and build an intellectual and scientifically qualified generation to face the challenges of the future.

Dr. Ayman Bahaa El -Din added that Egypt occupies a prominent position at the level of the Arab countries participating in the challenge, as Egyptian students achieved advanced positions during the final qualifiers for previous years, and Egypt won the title in previous sessions, and this achievement indicates the keenness of students to excellence and leadership, and this number increases year after year, and in this year specifically, 1188 students arrived at the final qualifiers at the level All stages of the competition at a distinguished level and achieved impressive results, which reflects their intellectual maturity and their wide culture.

The Deputy Minister expressed pride and pride in the amazing level in which students with anxiety appeared, as the total number of participants, including 32 thousand students, reached, and that this number confirms the success of the integration programs that the ministry is working on for this category in achieving its goals, and his sovereignty thanked their families for their tremendous efforts to prepare their children well to participate in the competition, which reflects fruitful integration between the Ministry’s programs and family support.

For his part, Professor Fawzan Al -Khaldi, Director of Programs and Initiatives at the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation, expressed his happiness to participate in this important event, a representative of the institution that organizes the challenge of Arab reading; To celebrate the crowning of the ninth session at the level of the Ministry of Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to celebrate this unprecedented participation in the history of Egyptian posts, where he competed in the qualifiers of the ninth session at the level of the Ministry of Education in Egypt more than 17 million and 600 thousand students, which represents a new achievement for the initiative of Arab reading challenge and the educational system in Egypt, stressing that this participation is the fruit of cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Education and the Foundation Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives, and a coronation of great efforts, 141 thousand supervisors and supervisors, 30 thousand and 575 schools.

Al -Khaldi added that the Arab reading challenge records a continuous rise in the number of participants, which translates the effect that he caused in the Arab cultural scene, stressing the pride in the call of the League of Arab States on December 18, 2024, ministries concerned with education in Arab countries to adopt the initiative to challenge Arab reading as an educational curriculum and support its publication and promotion, as a pioneering knowledge and cultural project that contributes to enhancing the Arabic language.

Al -Khaldi pointed out that Egypt tops the list of participating countries in terms of the numbers of students competing for the challenge titles during 9 sessions that embody the concern to consolidate the habit of reading among male and female students and the success of the introductory program for the initiative of the Arab Reading Challenge, as well as the effectiveness of partnership with the Ministry of Education in Egypt in motivating young people to read intense and make the utmost efforts to excel in the knowledge side and be able to enable Arabic language sciences.

Al -Khalidi congratulated all the winners of the challenge categories at the level of the Ministry of Education in Egypt, as well as distinguished schools, distinguished supervisors, participants and winners of the owners of determination and parents of students who played a fundamental role in encouraging their children to persevere and diligence, as well as everyone who contributed, supported and easy to participate in male and female students in the competitions of the ninth session in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Dr. Iman Hassan, head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, said that the project of the pioneering Arab reading challenge launched by the United Arab Emirates, to be a cultural bridge between the people of the Arab world, so successes were continuing year after year, so that the project would become a challenge for the self.

Dr. Iman Hassan praised the role of the initiative to re -challenge the Arab reading of the Arab school with its luster, and for the Arab child his enthusiasm, as the child boasted about the number of books he read, and does not boast about the number of games he acquired, and the book became his place in the bag and next to the student in his home, greeting to Mr. Minister Mohamed Abdel -Latif for his unlimited support for student activities.

During the celebration, Dr. Ayman Bahaa El -Din, Professor Abdel Baset Al Marzouqi, and Professor Fawzan Al -Khaldi honored the winners of the first ten, where he won the first position on the level of Arab reading challenge in Egypt for the year 2025, student Taghreed Mohamed Abdel -Alim Muhammad from the official Al -Khusous School in Qaliubiya Governorate, and the second place, the student Omar Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed from the Kharga Secondary School for Boys in Al -Wadi Al -Jadeed Governorate, and in the third place Dr. Khalaf Allah from the Safwa Misr School in Sohag Governorate, and in the fourth place, the student, Ikram Sayed Abdel -Azim Ibrahim, from Al -Awlalab Preparatory School in Aswan Governorate, and in the fifth place, the student, Nourhan Abdel Qader, Lammum Abdel Qader, from the Safwa Misr School in Sohag Governorate, and in the sixth place, the student Abdul Rahman Imad Al -Din Fawzi from Samalout Secondary School for Boys in Minya Governorate, and in the seventh place of the student. From Mit Tarif Preparatory School in Dakahlia Governorate, while the eighth place was the share of the student, Maryam Mohamed Saeed Ismail, from Qasim Amin Official Language School in Qaliubiya Governorate, and the ninth place won the student Harun Muhammad Atef Awaida from Al Salam Primary School in Kafr El -Sheikh Governorate, and the tenth place of the student Nuran Tariq Hamdi Omar from the outstanding school in Beni Suef Governorate.

The winning students in the competition were also honored from the category of people with anxiety, namely Basmala Salah Al -Din Suleiman from the Al -Nour School for the Blind in Qaliubiya Governorate, Omar Islam Rajab Issa Ahmed from the Al -Nour School for the Blind in Cairo Governorate, and Ahmed Alaa Mahmoud Mahfouz from the Al -Nour School for the Blind in the Red Sea Governorate.

She won the first place and won the title of distinguished school in the Arab Reading Challenge in the branch of (Institutional Excellence Awards)
Belkim School for Basic Education – Gharbia Governorate and the second position Hassan Abu Bakr School – Qaliubiya Governorate, and the third center Amr bin Al -Aas School – Beheira Governorate.

The two sides also honored the prize for the distinguished supervisors, where it won the first place, the supervisor, Sahar Mesbah – Kafr El -Sheikh Governorate, and the second place Amr Ragab Mahmoud – Cairo Governorate, and the third place, Ibtisam Al -Sayed Ali Gado – Dakahlia Governorate.

The ceremony included a presentation of videos on statistics participating in the Arab Reading Challenge in its ninth session, and the presentation of the reading play that makes the great with the participation of the artist Safaa Abu Al -Saud, and a number of Egyptian school students.
