The Organizing Committee of the Dana Award for Drama 2025, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and organized by the Ministry of Information in cooperation with the Gulf Radio and Television Authority, for members of the jury for the second session of the award.
The jury chaired in its second version the Bahraini writer and media, Dr. Bruin Habib, who confirmed that “the award was a qualitative addition to the Gulf and Arab dramatic scene, as the square gave a new momentum based on solid professional foundations, and opened the way to recognize real talents within the industry.”
The chair of the committee indicated that the award contributes to the consolidation of the values of serious art, and restores consideration to works that carry a human and cultural content, which enhances the quality of production and redirects the compass towards a drama that expresses society and its deeply discussed it.
She added: “The committee believes that the responsibility for arbitration goes beyond the technical evaluation, to become a cultural act that asks for stereotypes, celebrates innovation, and stimulates drama makers to fight creative adventures that make a difference in consciousness and taste.”
The jury for this year includes a group of prominent names in the Gulf artistic and media scene, namely: Bahraini director Ahmed Yaqoub Al -Muqla, Bahraini writer and director Sheikha Suha Al Khalifa, Emirati media and actor Ibrahim Astadi, Bahraini producer and director Osama Saif, Omani artist Faris Al Balushi, Bahraini author Ali Al Sayegh, Emirati script Film Authority Amer Al -Hamoud, the actress and the Saudi broadcaster Sanaa Younis, and the Bahraini theater writer Khaled Al -Ruwaie.
The organizing committee emphasized that the selection of members of the jury came based on their various technical expertise, their distinguished career, and their ability to equate the fair assessment of dramas, noting that all the works participating in the award will be subject to study and evaluation by the jury according to accurate technical and professional standards, including the quality and authenticity of the text, the cohesion of dramatic construction, and the quality of directing in terms of visual and technical creativity, along with the performance of actors The extent of their embodiment of the characters, as well as the integration of different elements of production.
The committee said that the announcement of the winners will take place during a special ceremony, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and in the presence of a group of stars and makers of Gulf and Arab drama, along with a number of media professionals and guests from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.
